Getting to the Cavalli Beach House Retreat from Mangonui (North).

From Mangonui, turn left onto State Highway 10 and travel for approximately 20 minutes, until you come to a one lane bridge. Go over the bridge and turn left immediately towards Whangaroa (not towards Kaeo).

Travel for about five minutes until you get to a right hand turn off – Wainui Road - Tauranga Bay ‘Tourist Drive’. Turn right. The turn off has two small cottages on the left, one bright blue, one brown.

Travel for approximately 15 minutes past the turn off to Tauranga Bay, staying on this road as it starts to wind up a large hill. Carry on down the hill for about 4 kilometres (about 5 minutes) and across a one lane bridge.

Keep your eyes peeled to the left for the Mahinepua Rd turnoff, which is soon after the one lane bridge.

Turn left at Mahinepua Road and travel half a kilometre down this unsealed road. Turn right into a private road/farm where there is a sign called “RONAKI” with a stone fence and electronic gate. The keypad for the gate is on the right side, beside the letterboxes. Press 426# on the keypad if the gate is closed.

Drive carefully along this farm track - up and then down into the next bay called Rapaki. Cavalli Beach House Retreat is the sail designed structure to your right down in the bay.
